(More customer reviews)I live in high elevations, which already causes dry skin issues for me. I got this filter because I read somewhere that chlorine evaporates in hot showers and you breathe it in, also skin and hair issues. I just thought I had terribly dry hair.
From my first use of the filter, I noticed a lack of chlorine smell during the shower, and my skin and hair were noticeably softer than they would after non-filtered showers.
The filter took less than 3 minutes to install: I had a wrench and plumbers tape ready, but all I needed was the wrench. the filter's wall-to-unit threads come pre-taped. took of the shower head, twisted on the filter to hand tight, put the shower head back on, tightened it with the wrench, and done.
There was no noticeable change in water pressure.
This product is easy to install (31 yo female with all thumbs here)
and it appears to work just fine without any annoying side effects (no water pressure loss)
It didn't effect the height of my shower head too much, but if you are especially tall, like 6+ feet, there may need to e adjustments. :-)
