But it's very elementary and limited to a only a few projects. I felt pretty confident, after reading it, that I could handle those projects. But I missed having more general information, like what kind of tools, parts and types of materials plumbers used. Information that I could have used for other projects.
Some of that information could be culled from the projects. And I actually do feel more prepared for dealling with basic plumbing issues that may occur. But I wanted more from the book. And I especially wanted general guidance that went beyond these projects.
I believe I'm the type of person the book was aimed at. I bought it because I have a recurring problem in my house, but it was something I thought I might be able to handle by myself with some guidance. That problem was not covered in this book. So for me, it was wasted money.
However if you want a first look at plumbing, with some easy to understand projects, it might be more useful for you.
