For a busy woman who is juggling home, family, and career, this is a book of 365 easy cleaning and organizing tips that can be done one at a time, in just a few minutes a day.
As the authors point out, there are two isses with trying to keep a home clean. One is finding the time to do a top-to-bottom cleaning of any room, let alone the whole house. The other is feeling we need to clean completely, right down to the last dust bunny that is hiding behind a very heavy, difficult to move china cabinet. We are given permission to leave such dust bunnies alone and instead clean what is obvious in small steps that can be done over time.
Every room of the house is covered with tips such as taking 10 minutes to clean out a make-up drawer in the bathroom, keeping fruit in the refrigerator to cut down on countertop clutter, using an anti-bacterial wipe to quickly clean all the doorknobs, and keeping an attractive basket in each room as a catch-all for papers, toys, etc., so they don't end up scattered on the floor or tabletops and can be put away later. Some of the ideas are obvious but I found others that I hadn't thought of such as freshening a room by placing a scented dryer sheet on the back side of a running fan for a few minutes.
This book isn't for those who prefer to do a full house or room cleaning in a day, but those who don't have the time or motivation to do so will benefit from the 5-20 minute tips in this book that yields the same result over time.
