Alternative Health Options & Forty Years of MS Review

Alternative Health Options and Forty Years of MS
Average Reviews:

This book is one man's story of multiple sclerosis. It is a candid, straightforward account of where he has been and where he is today. It has many informative references which allow this book to be used as a comprehensive reference for those suffering from MS, their caregivers, and their physicians. He describes his disease process and how he reached his improved condition today. Charles is not one to sit back and accept things. He must find out, explore, try, and challenge existing pardigms to find out for himself what works and what does not. The book is easy to read, in a logical format. He describes his overall condition as better, with a sense of well-being, with such symptoms as numbness noticeably better then one year ago. This is a must read for those with MS. I respect Charles for his wonderful attitude, for not giving up, and for showing us that drugs are not the only way to work with this disease. Congratulations!

Dr. Gilbere does it again here and in more detail. This book is a wonderful book that related hidden illnesses to a problem most doctor's are not addressing. Your intestinal and colon health. This is a major place to look for the cause of these so-called "Invisible Illnesses" She goes allot more into detail than in her first book "I Was Poisoned by my Body" which is a great book as well. This one talks allot about specific diets, colonics, colon cleansing etc. There are very vital tools to getting well and she talks all about them here.
This would be a very good investment in anyone's health to read this book.

Even though I am an experienced herb grower, I very much enjoyed this book because it had so many new and fun ideas. The chapter on homemade cosmetics was probably my favorite. I have made the "Gardener's Hand Salve", "Lavender Cologne" and the "Bath Oil". They all were great! I gave them away as gifts too. Be sure to try the Chocolate Mint Pudding recipe too. It is to die for!!

Planting the Future: Saving Our Medicinal Herbs Review

Planting the Future: Saving Our Medicinal Herbs
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Planting the Future provides both motivation and instruction for saving medicinal plants. The public's growing realization of the healing potential of plants is positive, but over-harvesting has led to a decline in native stands of many plants. Rosemary Gladstar has gathered a stellar team of writers to address the issue. The index reads like a who's-who of the herbal world. More than 30 plants are addressed in individual articles written by herbalists who know and love them. A grower of any size can use the information, the backyard up to a large sanctuary. A gardener can find the plants best suited their area, as well as how to propagate and care for them. Once grown, there is information about the preparation and use of the plants. My own tiny urban medicinal garden is part of the effort to save valuable plants thanks to guidance from these leaders. Herbalists, native plant enthusiasts and conservationists will all find value in this book.

Syncrometer Science Laboratory Manual (Syncrometer Science Laboratory Manual Series, 1) Review

Syncrometer Science Laboratory Manual (Syncrometer Science Laboratory Manual Series, 1)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was astonished when I saw this manual available from Amazon. Fantastic! For all the skeptics out there who view Hulda Clark's theories as "unscientific" and "quackery," I invite you to check out her latest publication. This is science way beyond its time. This independant scientist has bypassed the normal route of dicovery and handed the results to you personally. No medical journal time lag involved here! She is not motivated by peer recognition nor financial gain. (Clearly the great power above would not have allowed her tremendous success in cancer, aids, etc. if she was motivated by greed.) Anybody familiar with biochemistry and physics can truly appreciate this entire book. It is basically broken down into 3 sections: 1. Basic syncrometer testing: This section contains 30 experiments in basic syncrometer testing. It is a companion section on her 3 books, "Cure for All Cancers," "Cure for Hiv/Aids," and "The Cure for All Diseases."
2. Syncrometer Biochemistry testing: This section contains 62 experiments in advanced biochemical testing with the syncrometer. This is not for the beginner. Nor can one use household products to make testing samples, but with a few hundred dollars in specimen, tissue and substance slides the possibilities are endless!
3. Geometabolism: This 3rd section of 16 experiments undoubtedly qualifies Dr. Clark for a Noble prize in various categories.(Of course she deserved a Noble prize in medicine with her very first Cancer book!) This section involves the effect of the earth's(or outer space) magnetic field on the timing of our metabolism. It would be a great discovery in modern science if she or other syncrometer operator was able to perform these experiments in a space environment outside of the earths atmosphere. This would bring us major steps closer to piecing together many questions of our existence. Are we really connected to our universe? Is there an ultimate "force" that brings us all together? Is there really something to Ayurvedic medicine's philosophy of our health being connected with the cosmos?(Ayurveda is the oldest form of medicine originating from India and spawning nutritional and exercise(yoga) guidelines.)
This book is years ahead of its time for those who can look past its basic ingredient, the syncrometer. Although rather elementary in its design compared to todays technology, its use involves the most sensitive, fool proof machine existing. Our own senses. This device is more sensitive than ELISA immunology testing, is cheap, quick and user frendly. So what is the catch? Well ask any musician if their instrument is difficult to use and you will most likely get a quick, "No!" The reason for this confident answer is that they have PRACTICED long hours. The syncrometer will initially require a few hours of practice much like a musical instrument. It is a blend of hand eye coordination, sensitive listening and concentration to blend the two together. In 6 months of daily practice one can become a saviour to ailing family members and friends. Good luck and God bless!

There are 3 kinds of investigations that can be made with a syncrometer; 1.You can detect entities in your body, taken as a whole. For example, mercury aflatoxin, Streptococcus pneumonia, Epstein Barre virus, orthophosphotyrosine, benzene. Such a test is not as sensitive as the organ test, described next, but for this reason allows you to select those entities most abundant in the body and therefore of special significance. 2.You can identify which organs contain a particular entity. For example, the mercury may be in the kidney, the Streptococcus in the joints, and so on. This allows you to embark on a cleanup program for your body in a focused way. The syncrometer lets you monitor your progress. 3.You can detect entities in products. For example, lead in your household water, thulium in your reverse osmosis water, asbestos in your sugar.

Biomagnetic and Herbal Therapy Review

Biomagnetic and Herbal Therapy

This book have been written with the power of love. Why do I say that? Because we can feel the compassion all along the chapter. I like to read someone who walk his talk. When I read someone, to be interested and stay interested all along the chapters, the words must resonate in me. It sure did! Otherwise, I would have felt bored pretty quickly. This book leads us through the coming paradigm shift : prevention and natural healing. For sure, it's experience at work! And, as we all know, no money can buy experience! The book is clear, well documented, and I did appreciate the author's integrity. I hope someone will translate this book in french very soon, because here, in Quebec, it would be a big hit, believe me, we need to know more about biomagnetic.

Holistic Guide for a Healthy Dog (Howell Reference Books) Review

Holistic Guide for a Healthy Dog (Howell Reference Books)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is another one of those books that I recommend to everyone interested in holistic care for their canine companions. It's somewhat more technical and scientific in its approach than the equally superb books by Pitcairn and Levy, but that shouldn't put anyone off. Volhard begins with several excellent chapters on canine nutrition which include a very detailed section on supplements. For those determined to feed a commercial food, she provides info on how to read labels, which ingredients to look for and what to avoid. Next she addresses the common problems of allergies and toxins in our dogs' environment, foods, and water, as well as drug and vaccine reactions. Instead of providing the reader with possible alternatives to vaccinating (such as homeopathic nosodes), she recommends a modified vaccine schedule using killed vaccines only for diseases endemic in the area in question and doing titer tests instead of routinely giving annual booster shots. While this is certainly superior to the traditional veterinary practice of needlessly subjecting dogs to potentially very harmful annual combo vaccines, I much prefer Dr. Pitcairn's vaccination schedule for those uncomfortable with using nosodes.
Next, Volhard explains the basics of the canine digestive tract and thyroid and adrenal gland function. This is followed by a chapter on laboratory tests and how to figure out if your dogs' lab results are within normal parameters. After this very technical chapter, Volhard dives into the rather controversial subject of kinesiology which is basically a form of biofeedback. If (like me) you're the skeptical type, this will sound like a bit of hocus pocus to you. While I keep an open mind, I have yet to be convinced that with this method one of my dogs can tell me -- through the transfer of energy -- if she has a bacterial infection or needs extra liver in her diet.
Like virtually everyone interested in a holistic approach to dog rearing, Volhard recommends feeding a natural, homeprepared diet. Unlike many other homeprepared diets, the one she recommends has been clinically tested over a 12-year period, so you can rest assured that it is perfectly balanced. Volhard tells you exactly what and how much to feed as well as how to supplement (there are exact charts for dogs of different sizes). The drawback of this diet is that it must be followed to the letter. There is no room for experimentation here. Another problem is that, like Pitcairn's diet, the Volhard diet contains too many grains. Dogs are carnivores, and while there's nothing wrong with small amounts of whole grains in the diet (unless of course a dog is allergic to all grains), several cups a day are simply too much. Less grains and more pulped vegetables and raw meaty bones would be healthier and more biologically appropriate.
There are several short, very basic chapters on herbal medicine, homeopathy, and other alternative therapies (if you're interested in these subjects, you'll definitely want to read more elsewhere). Finally there is a simple but useful reference guide to certain diseases and possible remedies, profiles of all the amino acids in dogs, and a brief resource guide.

The Cure for All Cancers: Including over 100 Case Histories of Persons Cured

I'll try to be brief with a long story. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1994. I had a radical mastectomy and the disease had spread to my lymph nodes. To be fair, I have to say that the surgeon was a genius. He said that he thought that he got it all. I was to have 6 months of very strong chemo as adjunctive therapy. They implanted a "port" and I had one dose. All of my hair fell out. When I went for the second dose the nurse couldn't get a blood return. She sent me to the hospital for x-rays. They found that the port had broken and the tube that put the chemicals into my artery had gone into my heart (left ventricle). Then they had to "fish" it out of my heart with a lasso put through an artery in my groin area. They removed the defective port and suggested that I get another one in 2 weeks. I said, "No, thanks. I've had enough." My oncologist told me that I WOULD DIE without it! I read this book and used it. I also used other alternative therapies including acupuncture, chiropractic, huna kane, macrobiotic diet, juices and green drinks. I also can't swear that it was this book that cured me, but it has been over ten years that I have been cancer free (the doctors can't find any). I use the "cure" about once every 4 months since then to clean and detox. I think that people should know that there are alternatives out there and a lot of people are recovering in this way.

Cancer can now be cured, not just treated We are not accustomed to thinking about a cure for cancer. We think of remission as the only possibility. But this book is not about remission. It is about a cure. This is possible because in 1990 Dr. Clark discovered the true cause of cancer. The cause is a certain parasite, for which I have found evidence in every cancer case regardless of the type of cancer. So lung cancer is not caused by smoking, colon cancer is not caused by a low roughage diet, breast cancer is not caused by a fatty diet, retinal blastoma is not caused b y a rare gene, and pancreatic cancer is not caused by alcohol consumption. Although these are all contributing factors, they are not THE cause. Once the true cause was found the cure became obvious. but would it work? I set a goal of 100 cases to be cured of cancer before publishing my findings. That mark was passed in December, 1992. the discovery of the cause and cure of all cancers has stood the test of time and here it is!

The Cure for All Diseases Review

The Cure for All Diseases
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've known about this book for years, since it came out, but I was always turned off by the hideously new-agey cover and the similarly crackpot sounding title. I read extensively about health and alternative medicine, but am very critical of all new-agey approaches that emphasize the idea that the source of illness is spiritual or psychological (not that this is not possible, but I believe it is rare - not at all the cause of the vast majority of illnesses).
I'm not sure what compelled me to finally buy the book, maybe curiosity. But I was surprised and delighted to find that it is based on physical, biological issues in the body (namely, toxins and parasites). The methods of ridding the body of these disease-causing elements are both eccentric (using electricity) and traditional (herbal formulas).
I have not built the infamous zapper yet, but out of curiosity I might, since I am familiar with some of the other uses of electricity in medicine (eg, the Rife machine), and know it has benefitted people in those circumstances. So far I have found the pet parasite elimination program very helpful, as well as the mold-reducing hygiene tips (soak grains and dried fruit in vitamin c solution to de-mold them - and they taste so much better! non-soaked items now taste musty to me).
My caveat is the following: I was compelled to do some research on this book, and on Hulda Clark. (I am a professional researcher working on a PhD in the humanities, so it's my instinct to check resources as best I can). What I have discovered so far is this: I have read that Hulda Clark died recently (though I haven't confirmed the details on this), and that she seems to have signed off certain rights to a person by the name of David Amrein, who is now the president of the "Dr. Hulda Clark Research Association." The problem I have is that David is a MBA-weilding Scientologist (this is confirmed by several sources, including a Scientologist-run website), and is using the methods of Scientology to profit off of Hulda's work, and is implementing questionable marketing tactics in the manner of aggressive, multi-level marketing style ploys that the Scientologists traditionally engage in, and in effect is destroying the potential for integrity and recognition that this work might otherwise be able to attain.
What this means is that when you try to do a search on Hulda Clark, you get dozens if not hundreds of websites that are all marketing stuff - stuff that is not necessary to purchase (Hulda has instructions on building the necessary equipment yourself at hardly any cost, and the herbs are all available from any herbal medicine supplier). The whole work of Dr. Clark's is sadly going through a major cult-branding (to see this dynamic on another - although toxic - substance, run an internet search on Klamath lake blue-green algae, and you'll see a similar pattern. And there are numerous products out there that are traceble back to Clearwater, Florida, and Scientology marketing gimmiks). There is no record that Dr. Clark herself was a Scientologist, and by the absence of marketing in her work it seems she was not.
This is unfortunate, because this kind of marketing is misleading, and clogs up internet search engines for people trying to do legitimate research on a product.
If you do do research, note you will also find information written by anti-alternative medicine people and organizations (quackwatch) about the "scandalous" fact that Dr. Clark had a medical degree from a correspondence school. So what? Her previous graduate education was accredited. She's a trained researcher, whether or not she's a licenced doctor. Many MDs are ivy-leage certificated, but morons when it comes to healing people. I base my judgement on the integrity of the research in relation to other work in the field (ie, alternative medicine), as well as on it's ability to affect positive change in my own biological existence, which this work has. It's just a shame that it's been turned into a marketing monster.

Reverse Aging Review

Reverse Aging
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was one of the first books I picked up after reading Dr. Young's "The pH Miracle", which had left me with more questions than answers.
What I loved about this book was the way Mr. Whang explains - in plain English anyone can understand - the chemical and physical science that makes alkaline diets work.
If you're looking to understand the science behind alkaline diets, this book is a must-read.
Mr. Whang doesn't approach alkaline balance like most other authors who just tell you to eat this and not eat that. In the first few chapters of the book, he gives the reader the essential understanding of how the human body works - from a chemical perspective. He doesn't make assumptions or rely on annectodal data - he shows the reader how the laws of physics and chemistry affect the chemical reactions inside the human body.
Armed with this information, he then tells the reader how the basic elements of foods (minerals, calcium, phosphorus, etc.) affect the pH of the body. This is the key understanding when it comes to figuring out which foods are acidifying and which ones are alkalizing.
His approach is very straight forward, clear, and matter-of-fact.
He then goes on to show how an acidic lifestyle and diet affects the body, how the body tries to maintain its chemical integrity, and what the resulting strain does, in terms of reactions, diseases, etc.
Mr. Whang's description of diseases and how they come to be is also very interesting. He goes through a long list of diseases, gives specific reasons for each of them (from an alkaline diet point of view) and tells the reader how to reverse them.
He goes a step further in his description of non-medicinal health improvement devices that are mainly used in other countries. Again, giving scientific reasons why and how they work to alkalize the body.
What is missing from this book is a good description of what to do on a day-to-day basis to become alkaline. He only mentions drinking alkaline waters. As a matter of fact, the only book I've found that has practical approach and step-by-step instructions for becomong alkaline (including what to do tomorrow) is this acid alkaline diet book.
Nonetheless, I think Mr. Whang's book is excellent. If you're serious about getting healthy through an alkaline diet, you must to read this book (and also find another book that gives step-by-step instructions for what to do).

Not science fiction, but a scientific fact! This book isthe first common sense scientific explanation of the aging process and"how to" reverse it.The nutrients that we deliver to our cells burn withoxygen and become acidic wastes after giving energy to our body. The bodytries its best to get rid of these acidic wastes through urine andperspiration.Unfortunately, our lifestyle, diet and environment preventour body to get rid of all the wastes that it generates.Gradually, theseleftover acidic wastes accumulate somewhere within our body.Since acidcoagulates blood, the blood circulation near the waste areas becomes poor, causing all kinds of degenerative diseases to develop. The author definesthe aging process as the accumulation of non-disposed acidic wastes withinthe body.According to this theory, the reduction of accumulated wastesis re verse aging. This book explains how some of the adult degenerativediseases are caused by too much acidic wastes, and describes the variousscientific devices and methods to reduce these wastes without any harmfulside effects. These devices and methods are being wid ely used in Japan. Alkaline water makers (water ionizers) have been in existence in Japan formore than 40 years. Many in the alternative health industry of waterionizers, magnet and far-infrared devices regard this book as the mostcomprehensive and up-to-date reference book of its kind in the Englishlanguage. It is a "must read" for all who are health-conscious.
