I was astonished when I saw this manual available from Amazon. Fantastic! For all the skeptics out there who view Hulda Clark's theories as "unscientific" and "quackery," I invite you to check out her latest publication. This is science way beyond its time. This independant scientist has bypassed the normal route of dicovery and handed the results to you personally. No medical journal time lag involved here! She is not motivated by peer recognition nor financial gain. (Clearly the great power above would not have allowed her tremendous success in cancer, aids, etc. if she was motivated by greed.) Anybody familiar with biochemistry and physics can truly appreciate this entire book. It is basically broken down into 3 sections: 1. Basic syncrometer testing: This section contains 30 experiments in basic syncrometer testing. It is a companion section on her 3 books, "Cure for All Cancers," "Cure for Hiv/Aids," and "The Cure for All Diseases."
2. Syncrometer Biochemistry testing: This section contains 62 experiments in advanced biochemical testing with the syncrometer. This is not for the beginner. Nor can one use household products to make testing samples, but with a few hundred dollars in specimen, tissue and substance slides the possibilities are endless!
3. Geometabolism: This 3rd section of 16 experiments undoubtedly qualifies Dr. Clark for a Noble prize in various categories.(Of course she deserved a Noble prize in medicine with her very first Cancer book!) This section involves the effect of the earth's(or outer space) magnetic field on the timing of our metabolism. It would be a great discovery in modern science if she or other syncrometer operator was able to perform these experiments in a space environment outside of the earths atmosphere. This would bring us major steps closer to piecing together many questions of our existence. Are we really connected to our universe? Is there an ultimate "force" that brings us all together? Is there really something to Ayurvedic medicine's philosophy of our health being connected with the cosmos?(Ayurveda is the oldest form of medicine originating from India and spawning nutritional and exercise(yoga) guidelines.)
This book is years ahead of its time for those who can look past its basic ingredient, the syncrometer. Although rather elementary in its design compared to todays technology, its use involves the most sensitive, fool proof machine existing. Our own senses. This device is more sensitive than ELISA immunology testing, is cheap, quick and user frendly. So what is the catch? Well ask any musician if their instrument is difficult to use and you will most likely get a quick, "No!" The reason for this confident answer is that they have PRACTICED long hours. The syncrometer will initially require a few hours of practice much like a musical instrument. It is a blend of hand eye coordination, sensitive listening and concentration to blend the two together. In 6 months of daily practice one can become a saviour to ailing family members and friends. Good luck and God bless!

There are 3 kinds of investigations that can be made with a syncrometer; 1.You can detect entities in your body, taken as a whole. For example, mercury aflatoxin, Streptococcus pneumonia, Epstein Barre virus, orthophosphotyrosine, benzene. Such a test is not as sensitive as the organ test, described next, but for this reason allows you to select those entities most abundant in the body and therefore of special significance. 2.You can identify which organs contain a particular entity. For example, the mercury may be in the kidney, the Streptococcus in the joints, and so on. This allows you to embark on a cleanup program for your body in a focused way. The syncrometer lets you monitor your progress. 3.You can detect entities in products. For example, lead in your household water, thulium in your reverse osmosis water, asbestos in your sugar.

Lists for Life: The Essential Guide to Getting Organized and Tackling Tough To-Dos Review

Lists for Life: The Essential Guide to Getting Organized and Tackling Tough To-Dos

Lately, I've been on a mission to get organized, so when I saw this book, I thought I'd give it a try. The bulk of the book is geared toward weddings and pregnancy, which are important parts of life, but only short periods of time. The author also recommended buying other planning guides for these events, so my question was, then what's the point of putting the lists here? Also, some of the lists were just plain weird. It's almost like the author doesn't really run her own household, but simply questioned their household staff as to what they do every day and threw it all into a book. Seriously, who cleans their bathroom windows every week or vacuums under their bed and under furniture every week? Does ANYONE wipe fingerprints off doors & woodwork weekly? That's stuff for seasonal cleaning, or you'd go nuts! Then there's the Preschool Interview guide consisting of 48 questions. Seriously, who does that?? I mean, I can see 10 or so, but 48? Really? It's preschool! They play with clay, sing songs, take naps & eat crackers! My advice? Don't buy this book.

Working Drawing Manual Review

Working Drawing Manual
Average Reviews:

Fred Stitt's systems approach to working drawings was, and remains, a revelation, if not a revolution. You get your money's worth just from utilizing the modular layout and detail numbering systems alone.
Stitt thinks ahead and realizes that standardization and reusability are important to the architect who is trying to run a profitable and productive practice. So the ability to come up with, say, a standard foundation-to-wall detail, and be able to easily incorporate such standards into a drawing set, is a key aspect of productive profitability. And by adopting a modular sheet layout system, it becomes much easier to fit the sheet together, and avoid cramming details into wierd margins (which still, to this day, happens all too often).
Just so you know where I'm coming from, I was a practicing architect for twelve years, and I used Stitt's working drawing system throughout my career. In fact, I brought that system into several bay area firms, where it is used to this day. Now, I practice law, and I see from the other end how valuable a clear, concise set of working drawings is to controlling the building process and minimizing exposure.
As with many of Stitt's books, this one is a real help.

Household Hints for Dummies Review

Household Hints for Dummies

A friend gave me this book as a housewarming present and I thought she was nuts because I've had my own home for 30 years. What could I possibly learn from a book about keeping house? As it turns out, plenty! I cannot believe how many hints, ideas and shortcuts I've used from the book -- on taking care of my house, clothes, car, pets. Mine is by my bedside, so I can read a little passage on how to get wax out of carpeting or iron a shirt efficiently before I go to bed. Lest you think I'm a cleaning fanatic, I am not. My house is littered with papers and junk because I work full-time. What this book has done is show me how to use shortcuts and techniques that make keeping things under control easier and less tedious. I salute Janet Sobesky and the publishers. If the whole series is as useful as this book, I'm buying them all.

Food Bites: The Science of the Foods We Eat

I bought this book due to a mutual love of food and science, but this piece of work really let me down on both ends of the equation. It's poorly written, seemingly for either the 4-8 yr-old demographic or maybe adults who have never ever encountered food in their entire lifetime. For example, a chapter on wine and chocolate should have been focused on the mutual health benefits of these two marvelous foods. Instead, we discover that both come from plants, and sensory attributes are affected by the climate! Groundbreaking stuff. When it should be swinging for the fences, this book opts to bunt time and time again.

Food Bites is an easy-to-read, often humorous book on the scientific basis of the foods we eat, and answers those pesky, niggling questions such as: Is the quality of beer really affected by the type of water used? and Processed foods: good or bad? Readers will be captivated by this superbly written book, especially so as their guides are Professor Richard Hartel, professor of Food Engineering at UW-Madison, along with his daughter, AnnaKate Hartel. Professor Hartel has for the last four years penned a witty and illuminating column on all aspects of food science for the Capital Times of Madison, and his weekly wisdom has now been collected into a single publication. Jeff Campbell is definitely a guru of cleaning. I've learned alot from every one of his books and this one is no exception. Especially since I hate to do housework.

Ever had that nagging feeling that there's something you're supposed to be doing to keep your floor finish, fireplace, or VCR looking great or running smoothly, but you just can't remember what it is? In Good As New, Jeff Campbell, cleaning guru extraordinaire, masterfully simplifies the instructions you probably tossed long ago and tells you more than they ever probably revealed. Far from a fix-it manual, this is the book that tells you how to keep your precious possessions from breaking in the first place. Packed with information that will help you protect your investments and save money in the long run, Good As New will tackle schedules for maintenance chores (for example, how often should a piece of leather furniture be conditioned? how do you know when it's time to move your bed?); how to reduce maintenance by modifying habitual behavior (Tired of cleaning encrusted hairspray off the bathroom mirror? Train the culprit to stand elsewhere.); preventive products such as floor mats, air purifiers, caulk; and how to select building products for longevity (which material is best for a kitchen counter that has to last 10 or 15 years). All this and much more--including the "rules" of maintenance and an alphabetical listing of everything in your house (like this sampling from "C": CD players, coffee makers, cabinets, camcorders, ceramic tiles, coffee/spice grinder, countertops and more!)--Good As New is a book no cleaning fanatic or savvy consumer will want to be without.

Diet for a Poisoned Planet: How to Choose Safe Foods for You and Your Family - The Twenty-first Century Edition Review

Diet for a Poisoned Planet: How to Choose Safe Foods for You and Your Family - The Twenty-first Century Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this book in the early 1990's and it changed my life. It was the most informative book I have ever read (and I read them all!) on the subject of a healthy diet and what goes into (and onto) the food we eat. I carried this book around as my food "bible" for years and years and was thankful every day that Mr. Steinman did thousands of hours of research to help make my life healthier and happier by testing the foods we all eat for toxic residues and other toxic substances and publishing the results. This book is for EVERYONE. Every person on this planet should read this book and use it to help them make their food choices.
A few years back I was wondering if some of the material in the book wasn't outdated, especially with the boom in organic food available now (thank goodness) and wished Mr. Steinman would update the book. My copy is old and tatered but I still refered to it all the time. Low and behold, it's here! An updated version! Long awaited, I pre-ordered it on Amazon and it arrived yesterday and I've already read most of it. It is just as great as the old version and I feel better that the information is now more current, espeically since I have two small children to feed, and the current information is invaluable. PLEASE, read this book. Do it for yourself, your health, your kids, YOUR WHOLE FAMILY. The information is will change your life for the better.
I grew up in Pacific Palisades, near the Santa Monica Bay where Mr. Steinman's story begins, so I truly understand his reason for writing this book (I remember the signs posted on the Santa Monica Pier too warning not to eat the fish caught! AWFUL!) and wanting and NEEDING to know the truth about what goes into our precious food. If people trust our government to keep our food healthy you are fools. Take matters into your own hands. Buy this book.
By the way, I just read some disturbing reviews that insinuated that this book has something to do with Scientology. I've read this book cover to cover for over a decade and can't figure out how some people come up with these sort of strange ideas. Very worrying....
Thank you Mr. Steinman for taking care of me and my family! Truly!

Like Silent Spring, Diet for a Poisoned Planet took on an entire industry and went onto become a classic work of environmental writing. Now reissued in a new millennium edition, the work's in-depth look at the contaminants in individual food items is updated with the latest Total Diet Study findings. A motivating book, Diet for a Poisoned Planet changes people viscerally. Steinman tells his own story of fishing in the Santa Monica Bay as a child and how he went on to testify before Congress as an expert witness on the contamination of his own body by the fish he ate. The book is written by a true expert who has been a member of a National Academy of Sciences committee to advise Congress on seafood safety legislation.
